Crag Light Belay (Green)
Belaying is a technique climbers use to exert tension on a climbing rope so that a falling climber does not fall very far. Belay on the other means a spot where the belayer is anchored, usually a ledge. The Mammut Crag Light Belay device is super lightweight and responsive. It features asymmetrical V-shaped grooved friction channels which adapt the friction on different sized ropes. The belay is suitable for use with double, half and single ropes from 7.5 to 10.5mm. The Crag Light is super lightweight weighing in at 58g. The side walls feature large gaps that act as vents for reducing the heat created by friction. All in all the Crag Light is a really nicely thought out piece of kit that will see you and your climbing partner through some great climbs.
